Hartala and Manashila

Hartala: comes under Dhatuja Visha mentioned by Acharya Sushrut. It is inorganic irritant poison (arsenic trisulfide). 

It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of Syphilis, Gout, herpes etc. This medicine should only be taken strictly under medical supervision. 

Manashila: is an arsenic compound used in AyurvedaI.It must be purified before using. The chemical composition is Arsenic Disulphide.

It is mainly used in the treatment of urinary disorders, indigestion, lepa for prevention of scar in the skin surface, etc
